THE HUBSIDE FALL TOUR, ACT 2: THE BEST RIDERS ARE LOYAL TO THE ÉCURIES DU GOLFE DE SAINT-TROPEZ

0

The HUBSIDE Jumping was launched at the end of April and is held at the entirely renovated Ecuries du Golfe de Saint-Tropez, which were rethought to host high-level shows throughout the outdoor season. The event has been a resounding success: the world’s best riders have followed one another in the show’s huge ring; week after week, these riders have been loyal to an event which they have rapidly adopted. The champions will take advantage of the venue’s facilities once
again and class formats which they clearly enjoy for the second act of the HUBSIDE Fall Tour, the four-week long autumn version of the summer show jumping event. Admission to the show remains free of charge.
The 150 riders and 300 horses competing in the CSI 1, 2 and 4*, will come face to face on the courses of the Dutch course designer Louis Konickx, who was responsible for the tracks of this summer’s European Jumping Championships in Rotterdam, for the first time in the HUBSIDE Jumping’s young history. The courses had been designed up until now by ltaly’s Uliano Vezzani and France’s Grégory Bodo. The three-strong club, which now includes Konickx, is made up of
renowned course designers who are among the best in the world, and is an additional guarantee, if one was needed, of the sporting quality of the HUBSIDE Jumping shows, organised by the successful businessman and international rider Sadri Fegaier.

This week the CSI 4* (seven classes, including four allowing riders to notch up points for the Longines World Rankings), will feature riders who have been loyal from the outset such as the French Olympic team champions Roger-Yves Bost and Philippe Rozier, the legendary British Whitakers (John, Michael and Robert) as well as the ambitious American rider Laura Kraut, winner of the CSI4* Grand Prix last week, who is aiming to make it two in a row. Two former World top ten riders will also be present: Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya and the Netherlands’ Gerco Schröder, two-time World team champion in 2006 and in 2014. Sunday’s Grand Prix will boast 100,000 euros of prize money.
The village of Grimaud, in Var, an absolute gem bathed in the French Riviera’s sunshine, is the setting of the HUBSIDE Fall Tour. The seaside resort of Port Grimaud, nicknamed “the little Venice of Provence”, due to its sparkling canals and its coloured houses, is one of the many attractions in the surrounding area and is located less than five kilometres from the showground. Grimaud is surrounded by fields of olive tree and vineyards and is renowned for its history and festivals, contemporary art galleries, paradisiacal beaches, golf courses and its hiking trails along the coast.
